I am writing this as I’m drinking a bunch of Disaronno. His wife calls out “I’ll get it!” and then the door slams, and then she screams and everybody is dead! DEAD! DEEEEAAAD! Ralph Cowell (Philip Reed, remember him?), buttoning his cuffs and shoving a handkerchief in the breast pocket of his tuxedo. Time’s up! Pencils down! HA HA! It’s the door buzzer. I could have pulled that out of the hat.”īefore we see anything, we actually hear a buzzer. After taking a peek in between the bread slices, he says, “Rabbit. He opens the lunchbox and takes out a sandwich. He says “I hope you don’t mind, but I have to eat on the job tonight.” He puts his hat and his lunchbox on his ubiquitous desk, and starts to pull out various items from the hat: A large napkin (as a placemat), a teacup and saucer, a fork and knife, some salt and pepper. Our little Hitch is very smartly dressed, in a suit and coattails, with a top hat, and….a lunchbox. This episode stars Robert Newton, who is also known as the Patron Saint of Talk Like a Pirate Day. Also, I just ordered Alfred Hitchcock Presents: Season 6 and I am incredibly excited about it. We are just about halfway through season 1 (really, these seasons have 40 episodes each, which is far more than our current network 18-22 episodes per season). That means, though, that I should be doing one of these a week. Hello friends! I thought it would be fun to watch these shows around the same time they were actually aired, so I put this one off for longer than usual. Written by: Terence Maples (story), Robert C.
